  9. Amber Beach says:

    Hi Harly pals,

Will you please will you ask support Proposition 303? It’s important because terminally ill patients should have the right to take anything that gives them hope after being told there is none. Please vote for Proposition 303 because one of your loved ones would still be alive if they could have been given an experimental drug.

This message is from my mom and pop who already mailed in their votes two weeks ago. “Will all you buzzards stop with the annoying phone calls and junk mail? The amount of money wasted is sinful. Also the TV ads are too over the top. Way more than enough already.”

Other than that, they both agree with Amber Beach, that sick folks should have a choice on treatment.

Thanks, Harley, old pal. Hope I helped spread the word.

    Leadership 11-5-14

To: The 1%ers in Power, (w/ less than 80% now,)

The Voters have spoken, they said they do

not like a lot of what they see going on. So either

change for real, or lose more of your 80% of Power

    based Wealth. (Any Questions?)

But, I am telling you, the Republicans will do

very little to fix the problems in America. They don’t

    know how.

I won’t write much longer, my accts. are being

systematically shut down by the 1%ers for no legal

reason that I can see, and they won’t tell me why.

  13. Whole Foods Market in Sedona’s Old Marketplace, 1420 Arizona 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 officially re-opens Wednesday, November 5. Join us as we kick off the holiday season with four days of fun community events and activities for all to enjoy. Plus, all 365 Everyday Value® items are 20 percent off from November 5 – 9. See you there! All events are free and open to the public.

  14. Warren says:

@ Help Us Celebrate in Sedona! — Your store is a rip-off. We have done comparison shopping with Natural Grocers and the vast majority of items we buy are 20 to 50% cheaper there. So your “20 percent off from November 5 – 9” is unimpressive to say the least.

I also question your commitment to natural foods in general as opposed to $$$$. I notice that since the takeover from New Frontiers there is a lot of non-organic produce. If I wanted that I’d go to one of the supermarkets in town.

But probably the biggest disgrace on your part was to discontinue selling raw milk because of “liability”, even though raw milk is legal in AZ and the dairy that was supplying you is certified. What a pack of gutless cowards you are. Meanwhile, your CEO touts himself as some kind of free market hero.

Some hero. He was busted by the WSJ for using online aliases to bad mouth competition some years ago. Again, totally disgraceful and gutless.

@ SedonaEye — I am really surprised you would give this POS company free advertising. They can afford to pay.

  15. AH says:

@warren You’re off base! New Frontiers was up for sale for a LONGGGG TIMEEEE & one store remains in California. Sedona faced NO JOBS, NO STORE. Most are NF employees w/ a few fresh faces from down in the valley. Almost everybody got a raise! Better health care & benefits! Better for employees hands down! Get the facts! Local suppliers benefited! Boycott the Sedona store, you boycott local jobs! Instead of boycotting make it clear what you expect! New Frontiers wasn’t cheap & quality not always great & you know it!

  16. Hey all you readers and specially pals. I LUV it that you read comments from my fans but my reason here for scratching my head ain’t cuz of fleas. Not being a hound dog my nose for news doesn’t go much beyond the thought in the headline of my original message. What’s “voting” have to do with grocery stores unless, of course, it’s bout yummy stuffs for kitties and puppies?? Even tho I’m banned from the beauty parlor I still LUV Pet Smart cuz I’m welcome and allowed to ride in the cart. Can I do that at Whole Foods or Natural Grocers? Say what?

How bout we take a vote on that?

    Lovingly,
    Harley McGuire

PS: Mom’s doing her own version of four-paws up that election day is over and done (for now anyways).

  17. Warren says:

@ AH – That’s great the employees have a better deal but the store is still a rip-off. The rest of my comments stand. And don’t put words in my mouth; I said nothing about ‘boycotting’ the store. There’s just no point going there much when I can get the same stuff 20 to 50% cheaper down the road at Natural Grocers which is also ‘providing jobs’ to people who enjoy working there..

  18. New Frontiers was also a rip off so its fitting the property went to another rip off.

I once bought a pound of chia seeds in Prescott NF for 6.99, when I went to local Sedona it was 11.99. When I called and asked why I was told “Because it is Sedona”

So, maybe you are all used to getting ripped off but I don’t like it. I buy all I can online to save the money I am forced to pay locally. The tourists are captive and they drag the locals to pay too.

Sedona is going to hell in a hand basket.

Marriott, CVS, Whole Foods and probably all happy to join the Sedona Chamber of Commerce under their soon to be developed tiered thievery.

All this with just 10,000 residents. Greed has moved in and it won’t be moving out. The traffic sucks too.

    OM………….OM……………Om……..om

  19. JeanJ says:

Whole Foods didn’t get the nickname of Whole Paycheck for nothing.

  20. Besides Pet Smart, my mother also shops at Basha’s. In fact, she just came home with a fresh turkey breast for us to cook up. Yummy!

    HM

  21. PS from HM says:

OK, OK. So after crabbin bout folks changin channels and not commentin bout “voting,” now it’s two days after the event so why not jump on the bandwagon and toss in my two cents worth bout where we like to shop? If ya can’t beat ’em join ’em. That’s my way of thinkin even tho Ma Kettle don’t exactly agree.

    Lovingly,
    Harley McGuire
