Sedona AZ (July 14, 2014) – With the increasing moisture within the Northern and Eastern Regions of Yavapai County, the following fire jurisdictions will be lifting fire restrictions in conjunction with Yavapai County Eastern and Northern Regions:

Ash Fork Fire, Juniper Woods Fire, Seligman Fire, Camp Verde Fire, Clarkdale Fire, Verde Valley Fire, Montezuma-Rimrock Fire, and Sedona Fire.

The fire ban in the Northern and Eastern Zones of Yavapai County will be lifted effective July 15, 2014, at 8:00 a.m.

The Yavapai County Fire Ban will remain in place for the Southern zone, until the county records significant amounts of moisture.

Under Yavapai County restrictions all campfires and open flames, such as tiki lamps, are banned. The ban also prohibits the outdoor use of equipment that generates open flames or a spark. This restricts the use of welding equipment and chain saws. Residential propane and natural gas barbeques with covers are permitted; they must be attended at all times.
