Direct Your Tax Dollars Locally

Squirrels School Bus StopSedona AZ (February 16, 2015)Each year the Arizona State Tax Organization allows you to direct some or all of your state income tax payment to Verde Valley School’s scholarship fund. Verde Valley School STO in Sedona, Arizona, is called FAIS, Financial Assistance for Independent Schools, and all donations made to VVS through FAIS are used to provide tuition assistance to Arizona students.

Arizona taxpayers can allocate up to the following amounts to a private school tuition organization (STO):

  • $1,056 (married, filing jointly) or $528 (single FAIS and head of household) to the Original Individual Income Tax Credit
$1050 (married, filing jointly) or $525 (single and head of household) to the Switcher Individual Income Tax Credit
All funds allocated to Verde Valley School are used specifically for scholarships for students who qualify for financial aid. When you make a donation to FAIS you will receive an acknowledgement that entitles you to a dollar-for-dollar credit to your Arizona State Income Tax (it is also a deductible gift if you itemize your federal income tax).

You don’t have to have a child enrolled at VVS to donate (so please share the link with friends and relatives), and you can rest assured that all money given to FAIS is used specifically for student scholarships at VVS and no other programs. Please consider supporting Arizona students and Verde Valley School through this generous program. You can learn more and donate by clicking here.

Please contact VVS at 928-284-2272 for more information.
