Democrats of Red Rocks Host Stephen Nuno

Sedona AZ–The Democrats of the Red Rocks will host Stephen A. Nuno from the Politics and International Affairs Department at NAU as the guest speaker during the November 18th breakfast meeting at the Old Sedona Bar and Grille Restaurant, West Sedona.


Nuno research interests include Latino partisanship, political participation and political mobilization. He is also a Research Associate at the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University.


He has co-sponsored or has been the principle researcher in several exit polling projects and is working on several research projects concerned with the politics of immigration, Latino attitudes on sexual orientation and the effectiveness of co-ethnic political recruitment.


He is a proud native of Los Angeles, born in the historically rich city of Boyle Heights, California. He is married to Mackenzie and they have four children; Isabella (6), Jacqueline “Quinn” (5), Evangeline (3) and Santiago (10 months). He will speak on “Rhetoric and Reality: Latino Immigration in the US.”
