Sedona AZ (September 2, 2010) – This is a heartfelt thanks to all of the dog friendly establishments in Sedona.
This morning my mother took me out very early because she needed to grocery shop and leave me in the car for only a short time. Then she took me to the lovely park on Sunset Drive and, of course, properly cleaned up after me. After we stopped at the bank drive-in window, I just figured it was the ultimate conclusion of my daily outing which, by the way, does not occur every day.
However, much to my surprise, she stopped at a very strange place called T-Lockie-Pocky. Weird name but great place! We walked extensively through paradise until something called “stores” opened up at ten o’clock. Mom offered to put me in the car before entering one of those places but, holy cow, the nice lady named Gloria said, “No, we welcome dogs.” Whew. Another place my mom has taken me where I’ve been accepted is Sinagua Plaza. I love it when Mom has time to take me to Judi’s for lunch and we are able to sit outside on the patio where I’m even welcomed with a bowl of water.
This isn’t an advertisement for any of the places mentioned. It’s simply an acknowledgement of my appreciation of being accepted instead of left at home. Thanks to the rest of you who recognize that many of us four-legged critters are considered family.

Love it! I wish I could take the kitties out, too.

Hmmm, wonder if any of those places would welcome Stormy?

Perfect.
When we visit France and Germany, dogs are welcomed everywhere!
I wish we did the something here. (I would much prefer a dog sitting next to me at a restaurant than a democrat)
Nice article.
love it! what a great idea to write from dog’s perspective. I am happy it is in ST web site. Hopefully this will encourage others to pay more attention to animal’s needs.
It’s nice to know there are some real dog friendly places in Sedona. But who could resist a cute face like Harley’s and a little wiggle in his walk helps too. I’ll bet he charmed all the ladies with his “Cuteness.”
Some very cute responses. I think you’re on to something. Keep it up.

We Love this, Thanks Harley!
We would also like to recommend ‘The Hideaway’, where mom slips Us the pizza crusts. Please write more about Your adventures. We like going to the Banks and Home Depot, but maybe You could tell Mom about more places to take Us.

Harley,
You are the best writer. I am in Salt Lake City now, but loved reading your article. Kudos to the places in Sedona where you are welcome. Say “hello” to all my friends in Sedona. Your picture was adorable. Nell B
Didn’t know you were sooo talented. Great little article and very enjoyable to read. “T-locki-Pockie” (Barbara would have had a heart attack on that spelling but I’m sure she knows doggies aren’t great spellers) has always been one of my very favorite places to roam through.

HARLEY McGUIRE, what a wonderful way you have with words. I really enjoyed reading
your article in the Sedona Times about how well regarded and respected you are around
the neighborhood.
cute! best “paper” in town
