At the indicated date and time, the YCSO deputy stopped a white 2015 Toyota sedan for speeding and lane violations on south AZ Interstate 17 in the Cordes Lakes area. During contact with the automobile driver, Ball, and passenger, McCawley, the deputy could smell an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Both people were then detained. During a search of the car to locate the source of the marijuana odor, the deputy found nearly 200 prescription Xanax pills in plastic baggies, a handgun, and $285 in the center console of the car.
