Safety improvement project along 89A progresses - Lane restrictions for installation of electric lines continue through end of May.

The Arizona Department of Transportation continues construction to install roadway lighting in Sedona on State Route 89A from Dry Creek Road to Airport Road this week through the end of May. Crews are completing the installation of underground electric lines, which will require lane restrictions along SR 89A from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday through the end of May.

The $4.3 million project also includes a new traffic signal at Andante Drive and roadway repaving from Arroyo Piñon Drive to just west of State Route 179. The paving work is scheduled to begin in June.

Motorists are advised to pay close attention to signage and observe posted speed limits which will be reduced in the work zones. ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
I think my eyes were opened a long time ago. With 10 fires for the past year we really badly needed their service, just like we needed that expensive ladder truck we can't use. If you folks like double what you are paying then vote your pocket book, as for me it got to be way out of line and especially when we have one of the most expensive fire departments in the state. We will soon have more chiefs than indians and guess that is the way you big spender voters want it but for me I really hate to foot the bill for this con job.

Well Glenn, I guess that the "rats" came out of the woodwork and voted to kick the asses of the recalled candidates out of this world. BTW, the "rats" who donated all of that money were tired Sedona residents who are fed up by the antics of those recalled idiots. Even Blauert who spent tons of his own case was out voted by the other two idiots, Erk and Chucky. Who would have thought that would have happened.

Unbelievable survey. I'd say it's the work of the same "firm" that "designed" the City's poll about the lights. IMO that it is preposterous to me that a state regulatory agency is asking stake holders, who generally have no engineering knowledge how to solve various traffic and transportation issues. What a joke. It's easy to see why AZs' progress in turning over state routes that run through cities and towns, lags behind other states.

Interesting Glenn. You need to open Your eyes and check Your mail box. I received a very large, glossy card in the mail from Blauert asking to be re-elected, and I don't think I'm the only one that got it. Who do You suppose is backing Him? Unfortunately everyone else that received the card also, are now thinking You don't know what You're talking about.

Glenn,

What part of "...The campaigns to elect Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman have been 100% financed by individual citizens" do you fail to comprehend?

You say "big" money didn't support the recalled candidates? Don't you think "abandoned the recalled candidates" is a little more accurate?

Again, I am PROUD the many, many, many conbributors of - by-contrast - "little money" DID support Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman. They know intelligence and sincerity when they see it! So...for your benefit, I will repeat myself:

The people – NOT the Union. Deal with it!

Glenn, again you show up to offer your unfounded accusations, and demonstrate your inability to do any work to find out the truth. The public records filed with the County will show you where the money came from. Individual donations from a lot of concerned residents who truly care about our safety and Fire District. Why "Big money: didn't back the recall trio like it did at the last election is a question only you and your friends can know the answer. This election will be settled by the people, for the people.
Welcome out of the woodwork, Glenn.
