Chino Valley Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of Neighbor

Prescott AZ (October 31, 2012) – Tuesday, October 30, 2012, Patrick Williams, 20, of Chino Valley, Arizona pled Guilty Except Insane in court to Second Degree Murder, Armed Burglary and Armed Robbery charges. 

These offenses occurred on Saturday, December 4, 2010 when an out-of-state relative called the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and asked for a welfare check on Stella Streppa, 67 years of age, a Chino Valley resident and the owner and operator of Mama Stella’s PizzaYCSO Deputies responded to the Streppa residence and discovered an unlocked garage side door leading into the house.

The YCSO deputies noticed a blood trail from the dining room into the living room. The deputies found the victim’s body wrapped in a carpet in a closet in the living room. The victim, Stella Streppa, had been stabbed 23 times, suffered broken ribs, broken jaw and a shattered skull. 

Patrick Williams pleads guilty to Streppa murder

An investigation led to the arrest of Patrick Williams, the victim’s teenage neighbor and someone whom the victim had befriended. Williams was charged with First Degree murder, Burglary and Theft of Means of Transportation. 

Williams’s commitment hearing has been scheduled on November 30, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. before the Honorable Tina Ainley of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Under the State of Arizona Guilty except Insane laws, Williams will receive a sentence ranging from 16 to 38 years in the Arizona State Hospital.
