CAT Changes Sedona LYNX Stops

Sedona AZ (April 24, 2015) –  Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT), which operates the Verde Lynx, is announcing the following changes to its Sedona Lynx route. Shelters are available at these locations. Please note these are permanent stop changes which will be reflected in the next printed bus schedule. The stops will be in effect when the new shelter construction is complete, expected late afternoon April 24, 2015.

The greatest change is to the LYNX stop currently located between Harmony and Andante drives. This stop will be removed to the right turn lane for Andante Drive. ADOT requested this change so that the bus will be off the main roadway for safety reasons.

The second change will be to the Dry Creek Road stop, currently along the Dry Creek Road right turn lane. ADOT requested a relocation of the stop to the right turn lane for the shopping market past Dry Creek Road. It is a less congested area for the bus to stop.

CAT provides ADA Paratransit service and three fixed routes serving Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Verde Villages, as well as Verde Lynx service to Sedona. For more information about Verde Valley public transportation, call the CAT office at 938-634-2287.
