Sedona AZ (August 6, 2014) – The Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley Religious School, Beit Sefer Shalom, offers weekly classes on Sunday mornings during the school year for children 4-12 years of age. The Religious School presents an exciting and innovative curriculum for both Hebrew and Judaic Studies, including preparation for Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

JCSVV believes that Religious School should be both fun and educational, and strive for every one of its students to say he or she wants to come back to be with Jewish friends. Students learn Hebrew, history and about Jewish holidays through a variety of modalities, engaging their natural curiosity and range of abilities. The students and families participate actively in Family-Community Services and a Shabbat Supper on designated Friday nights, at which time the students and their families are blessed by the rabbi and the entire congregation.

The religious school also offers special holiday celebrations throughout the year.

A Beit Sefer Shalom Open House is scheduled for parents and children on August 24, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley is located at the corner of State Route 179 and Meadowlark Drive, Sedona, south of the Chapel roundabout.
