Sedona AZ (February 9, 2015)House Majority Leader Steve Montenegro announced today the seven cornerstones which will be the basis for the Arizona House Majority Agenda. The House Majority Agenda will help Republican lawmakers target matters the people of Arizona consider important.

The seven major themes are;

• Growing Jobs

• Educational Opportunity

• Fiscal Responsibility

• Ensuring the Safety, Strength and Importance of Arizona Families

• Protecting Personal Freedom

• Fighting Federal Overreach

• Unified and Effective Caucus.

“We want to make sure we are doing the business of the people,” said Majority Leader Montenegro. “The House Majority Agenda helps us to stay on track. We want to conduct our work in a way that makes Arizona proud.”

“These seven guideposts give us a road-map to prioritize the work of the House,” said House Speaker David Gowan. “There are many distractions that can arise during a legislative session and the House Majority Agenda will help us stay focused.”

The Arizona State Legislature is a bicameral body with 30 members in the Senate and 60 members in the House of Representatives. Each district is served by one Senator and two House members.

The Majority Leader, with support from Leadership, has formed the House Majority Agenda by speaking with Caucus members and asking for their priorities. Included in each theme are points that provide greater detail to that theme. For a brief visual representation of the Majority Agenda you can visit this link.

Why do I feel such disgust for the elected these past two years? IF the Republicans mean to protect personal freedom then why in the hell is that idiot Arizona Republican Sylvia Allen stripping it by introducing legislation that tells the people to go take a hike while politicians and elected officials meet in secret?

If you Republicans mean to be for the people then BE FOR THE PEOPLE. Every true liberal Democrat out there once stood for freedom from big government and now they’ve lost their way and crawled in to its filthy sheets like bedbugs. This is a bipartisan issue. Freedom is BIPARTISAN. OUR RIGHTS ARE BIPARTISAN. . . Pick up a damn phone or write a damn letter of protest. GIVE A DAMN FOR ONCE. . .

Below are the email addresses of the 14 sponsors (3 democrats) of SB 1435. This is the bill gutting the AZ Open Meeting Law and allowing secret government by limiting access to school boards, city councils, county supervisors, the Legislature and other public bodies until the deal is done and they are ready to vote. Do you want to be shut out of your government? Let’s be sure to tell these people to stop.

  3. Ernie,

I don’t usually respond publically to political postings since I’m trying to unite the cream of the crop Democrats and Republicans together on our “America the Beautiful & BagReadyJobs” empowering our nation’s youth effort.

Your words “GIVE A DAMN FOR ONCE” because too many people have one thousand reasons for not getting involved even if you provide them the phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses.

Your word phrase made my day!

  4. The list is about hindering investigation of crime. County Government is a crime. County Boards are stealing land and utility’s. Safe is a strange word. In a way it becomes a blinder to the challenges of living thinking we are safe makes us naive of ways of criminals. Those that go into our legislation with agenda’s are not the one’s to watch out for, preserve it , don’t change it. There is so much corruption here it is heartbreaking. And we will have to have full access to every decision in any elected or appointed body to keep Arizona from being stolen by crooks that have elected posts. And a sharper eye on those that don’t. No bigger crime than what was done to Mesa. Lukasik, An Arizonan for Arizona
