Annual Sedona Pioneer Community Picnic

Museum volunteers and old-timers enjoy potluck and local history stories

Sedona Historical Society and Sedona Heritage museum volunteers prepare for annual potluck lunch in Oak Creek Canyon

Sedona AZ (September 20, 2010)The Sedona Historical Society will host its annual pioneer and community picnic at Indian Gardens Park, also known as Bacon Rind Park, in Oak Creek Canyon on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Noon. 

The potluck picnic lunch is open to the public and will be enjoyed by anyone interested in meeting Sedona pioneer descendants and long-time residents.

Attendees are asked to bring a food dish to share along with their own plates and utensils.  A dutch oven roasted meat entree and beverages will be provided by the Sedona Historical Society.

After lunch the group will be entertained by memories of the Indian Garden Skating Rink by owner Walter Cox.  Rusty Black will also be on hand with stories.
