ADOT construction project underway

Sedona AZ (August 16, 2013) – A pavement improvement project is scheduled to begin on Arizona State Route 69 on a two-mile segment between Prescott and Prescott Valley (mileposts 294 to 292) this Sunday, August 18, 2013, and will continue for several weeks.

During the project existing pavement will be milled off and then a new layer of smooth, quiet rubberized asphalt will be applied to the roadway. The paving work, which is between Sunrise Boulevard and Prescott Canyon Estates, occurs Sunday through Thursday nights.

While crews are working, SR 69 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. through the work zone. Minimal delays expected during work hours. The $493,000 project is expected to be completed by mid-September.

Please proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Follow the SedonaEye.com for ADOT road construction updates and AZDOT.gov.
