  1. As a result of a fuel spill on Interstate 17 a few weeks ago, crews will be performing an environmental cleanup, which will require the roadway to be narrowed to one lane for southbound traffic south of Sunset Point Rest Area (milepost 250) tonight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Minimal delays are expected. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

  2. Mark your travel calendars now. Hassayampa Rest Area near Wickenburg will be closed for maintenance work in June for two weeks. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead. Motorists traveling on US 60 should be aware that the Hassayampa rest area, located six miles south of Wickenburg will be closed for approximately two weeks for septic maintenance and pavement work starting Monday, June 3, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
