“We are proud to have this year’s winners join over 60 local companies celebrated for their ethical business practices,” said Matthew Fehling, BBB President/CEO. “These companies understand the impact ethics can have not only on their bottom line, but also their products, services, operations and, most importantly, their people.”

The BBB Business Ethics Awards recognize firms whose business practices and related activities exemplify BBB’s mission and principles to ensure the marketplace remains fair and honorable. The awards consist of an annual program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to operating ethically. Companies are selected by an independent panel of volunteer community and business leaders based on criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award.

The following companies were also honored as 2015 finalists for their dedication to ethical practices:

● Smarter Divorce Solutions (Phoenix)

● SPIES: Single Professional Introductions for the Especially Selective (Phoenix)

● Salem Boys Auto (Tempe)

● AZ Carpet & Restoration (Phoenix)

● Wisdom Natural Brands (Gilbert)

● Emergency Air, LLC (Mesa)

● Compass Cleaning Solutions (Phoenix)

● S&S Tire & Auto Service Center (Goodyear)

● CNA National Warranty Corporation (Scottsdale)

● George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating (Phoenix)

In addition to announcing the 2015 winners, Fehling surprised the audience and master of ceremonies by honoring a community leader with a new award. Pat McMahon accepted the 2015 BBB Luminary Award with heartfelt gratitude. This accolade was established to honor an Arizona leader for positively impacting the community while embodying the spirit of BBB.

“It was a no-brainer to honor Pat with this inaugural award. For the last ten years, he graciously volunteered his time as master of ceremonies, honoring local businesses for their commitment to integrity and ethics. Additionally, his work on radio and television speaks volumes to those same values. Pat truly cares about Arizona and believes we can be known nationwide as a region with integrity,” Fehling concluded.

The program included a keynote address from New York Times best-selling author and O.C. Tanner Institute Executive Director David Sturt, author of the book Great Work: How to Make a Difference People Love. Wells Fargo sponsored the annual dinner event for the 14th year in a row.
