2014 Made in Clarkdale Art Show

MIC logoSedona AZ (July 18, 2014) – Calling all artists! The Made In Clarkdale Art Show 2014 will be jurying new artists on August 9, September 13, and October 11, 2014, for its annual show.

Artists must live, work, or be taking art classes in Clarkdale, Arizona, to be eligible. Previously accepted artists do not have to re-jury if they still live or work in Clarkdale, however, students taking art classes must re-jury each year.

All art media will be considered. Art must be original and conceived and created by the artist. No kits or crafts made from the patterns of others will be accepted.

Jurying will be held at the Yavapai-Apache Learning Center, 1630 Beecher Street in upper Clarkdale. Follow the MIC signs at Main Street and South 16th Street to the round building, down the hill on the Clarkdale reservation. Applicants need to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to be eligible.

Applicants should bring actual work if possible, at least three pieces or as many that are practical to transport, to show jurors the range and depth of the artist’s body of work. Resumes or bios are also encouraged, as are photos, if the actual pieces are not available for jurors.

Questions about the jury process may be directed to Sandy Boothe at 928-634-0486.

The Made In Clarkdale Opening Gala is scheduled for December 5, 2014, and the MIC art show will run December 6 through 14 at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse, in historic downtown Clarkdale. In addition to the art show, there will be evening events throughout the show dates – music performances, a poet slam, theater, wine tastings, daily workshops for kids, and an artist demonstration day.
